Synopsis

This film is a multiple wedding celebration. First up is Stravinsky’s major orchestral piece for voice and percussion, in all its rich complexity. Then, symbolically, comes the ‘union’ between Ramuz and Stravinsky, who later collaborated on “The Soldier’s Tale”, a masterpiece composed directly from the French text. Phillipe Béziat officiates a Marriage of the Arts here, using narrative ingenuity to bring film and music up the aisle in matrimony. His film is unique, building on the force and freshness of the score, and on the risk factor specific to documentary. The finale full performance is far from being a mere video.
