Peter Snowdon’s film is timeless. The characters in "The Uprising" tell their stories live to the camera: “I’m not filming. I’m just doing a bit of video”, says one woman from her window, as she films a man rejoicing alone down in the street. Just a bit of video, but enough for us to understand how terribly close we are to all of these people. Aren’t we all Arab revolutionaries preparing for the upcoming Revolution? As it happens, the word ‘revolution’ was coined by Saint Augustine, a Berber from North Africa!
